Three gold medals for Vaughan gymnasts

A Vaughan gymnastics team travelled to La Classique Gymnix in Montreal earlier this month and came away with several gold medals. Sabrina Barsky, 12, from Thornhill, competed in Level 3 and was the gold medallist overall. She earned first-place finishes on vault, balance beam and floor exercise, with a second on the uneven bars. Priyanshi Randeria, 15, of Concord, competed in Level 2, also earning gold title for overall. She earned first place in balance beam and floor exercise. Cheryl Paron, 19, from Maple, competed in Level 2. She won bronze overall, with a first in vault, and third in the floor exercise Three other Vaughan athletes had top-eight finishes in overall in their divisions. Coaches Karren Lee and Haley Kerbel accompanied the team to the competition.
